Unto

Death

Unto Death, directed by Eli Garrahy, was one of the most challenging environments one can shoot in. With Harry Abbott as DOP and Jack Hogrefe as the Gaffer, this short narrative is visually captivating. Shot wide open at T1.5, the focus is shallow and breathes in and out with movement.

Shooting in the bush, with a large, noisy generator for the lighting meant the sound team had their work cut out for them.

The film follows a couple who have just crashed in the bush after their camping trip, serving to avoid hitting an animal. With a severe head injury, one of the characters grows attached to the dying animal and is driven insane by someone offering aid.
